The competition for the Cup for the Super Couple of the Elbląg Dance League will take place on December 16, beginning at 5:00 pm in the sports and entertainment hall at the "Światowid" Center for European Meetings in Elbląg.

The Elbląg Dance League is an undertaking implemented as part of the task "Dissemination of dance among children and youth" co-financed by the Municipal Office in Elbląg.

The Elbląg Dance League is a project in which students from three Elbląg primary schools - SP 12, SP 18 and SP 19 learned ballroom dancing for 7 months. Classes were held in school sport halls and were conducted by qualified instructors.

Friday's tournament will be a summary of the project and a test of the acquired skills. All participants will dance two standard dances: English waltz, and Viennese waltz and two Latin American dances - samba, and cha-cha.

The tournament is point-based. Children will present themselves in front of a 5-person judging panel, which will evaluate their performance - says dance coach Mateusz Czyżyk. The points for each dance will be summed up and we will select the best dancers of the Elbląg Dance League.

Everyone will receive medals and gifts. An additional attraction will be shows performed by couples from the Jantar Dance Club in Elbląg.

The organizer of the project is the "Jantar" Association, which implements the idea with the help of the Centrum Spotkań Europejskich "Światowid" .
