In a word about love. In a fortnight, the 25th edition of the OFSS "...czy to jest kochanie?".

The 25th edition of the National Word Art Festival "... czy to jest kochanie?" is ahead of us. Due to the 25th anniversary of the competition, this year's festival will begin on Friday, 17 March. This is when Edyta Geppert will give a recital in front of the Elbląg audience. On Saturday, 18 March, competition presentations in front of the jury will take place. The winners of the festival will be announced on Sunday, 19 March.

The XXV anniversary edition of the festival will be attended by adults, students and secondary school students. Participants will present prose, poetry or song on the theme of love of their choice. The winners will then perform on the big stage during the final gala, which will be crowned by a concert by Stanisława Celińska and her band under the direction of Maciej Muraszko.

Those fighting for words will present themselves in front of experienced jurors, who will assess both the workshop and the emotional message of the artists. And here is the composition of the jury of the XXV edition of the National Word Art Festival "... czy to jest kochanie?":

Monika Kowalczyk - Kogut
Theatrologist, cultural animator and theatre instructor. She is a graduate of Theatre Studies at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw, Cultural Animation at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, as well as postgraduate voice emission studies at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and speech therapy at the University of Warsaw. Monika Kowalczyk - Kogut has to her credit major prizes in national recitation competitions and several years of experience in theatre and recitation work in cultural centres. She is active in non-governmental organisations and runs a place for forgotten books - Dom Spokojnej Książki in Rżuchów.

Jarosław Wasik
Graduated from Vocal Studies in Gliwice, Cultural Studies at the University of Opole and Doctoral Studies at the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is a laureate of the "Debiuty" concert of KFPP Opole '94, the Student Song Festival in Cracow, Olsztyn Castle Meetings " Śpiewajmy Poezję"(Let's sing poetry) and many other festivals. He has twice been awarded the "Lira Orfeusza" - the Main Prize of the Central Eliminations of OKR (category: sung poetry). He has released four original albums. Since 2000, he has been a member of the Artistic Council of the Student Song Festival in Krakow, and since 2017. Artistic Council of the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Since 2013, he has been the director of the Museum of Polish Song in Opole.

Krzysztof Ogłoza
Actor, pedagogue. Currently a lecturer at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw at the Department of Puppetry Art in Białystok, where he teaches classes in 'working on a role' and 'elementary acting tasks'. She specialises in working on text interpretation, song, role work and elementary acting tasks. Since 2007, he has been leading theatre workshops and also acts as a juror at numerous national recitation and theatre competitions. He was honoured by the Rector of the Theatre Academy with the Prokuratorscy Award "for creative achievements and upholding the ethos of the artist", and in 2014 he was awarded the Medal of the Commission and National Education " for special merits for education and upbringing.

Auditions in the recitation category will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. on the Stage on the Floor (second floor of the CSE "Światowid"), while performers of the poetic song will present themselves from 5 p.m. in the room next door, in the Nobilis Gallery. Admission to the competition part of the festival is free. Winners selected by the jury will perform at a gala on 19 March, at which prizes will be awarded. The star of the evening will be Stanisława Celińska with her band under the direction of Maciej Muraszko.
