Welcome to the 5th episode of "Pasmo Kultury" about words, poetry, culture, the beautiful Polish language and the popularisation of the mother tongue.

Our guest is Monika Kowalczyk-Kogut - a theatre scholar, cultural animator and theatre instructor. She graduated in Theatre Studies from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw, in Cultural Animation from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, as well as postgraduate voice emission studies at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and speech therapy at the University of Warsaw. She has to her credit the main prizes in national recitation contests, won in 1997-2007, as well as several years of experience in theatrical and recitation work in houses and cultural centres. She is active in non-governmental organisations and runs a place for forgotten books - the House of the Peaceful Book in Rżuchów.

Monika Kowalczyk-Kogut is also a long-standing juror of the All-Polish Word Art Festival "...is it Darling?" at the Światowid European Meetings Centre in Elbląg.
